The 36 Communes

City of Le Soler

Situated on the heights of the right bank of the Têt, less than an hour from the first ski slopes and 20 minutes from the beaches of the Mediterranean, the town of Le Soler is also less than 2 hours from the major regional capitals, Barcelona, Toulouse and Montpellier. Set in a land of a thousand and one facets, the light is omnipresent. From North to South and from East to West, the sun floods the vineyards and the large fruit orchards. Its rays warm the cayrouxes of the historic centre before finishing their course in the reassuring shade of the Canigou.

The area of the commune is 1,035 hectares and its altitude varies between 43 and 92 metres.

The story

The advantages of an attractive geographical position for its economy and the creation of skill clusters.

Just 10 minutes from Perpignan airport and train station, the town of Le Soler offers real logistical potential and is economically attractive, as shown by the dynamism of its economic zone. Sectors of excellence linked to new technologies and the audiovisual sector are already a reference in the urban community. The Cité Digitale du Soler is already a reality with the construction of the Pôle Numérique which will bring together students, young entrepreneurs and start-ups.

A quality of life between nature, tradition and modernity...

With a varied range of leisure activities around the Jo Maso sports complex, 2 stadiums, the Lac du Moulin, the media library, the astronomy observatory, hiking trails, and communal spaces available to the many volunteers who are the actors of the "good life" in Le Soler.

Faithful to its history, the town of Le Soler is nevertheless resolutely turned towards the future thanks to numerous cultural events dedicated to science and knowledge. The large community project for the development and enhancement of the natural heritage of the banks of the Têt, from Le Soler to Canet-en-Roussillon, is a good example of this desire to offer a sustainable future to future generations.
