Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, in partnership with the French government and Vinci Autoroutes, inaugurated the Perpignan Nord Rivesaltes multimodal interchange on Wednesday July 17. The new hub marks an important milestone in PMM's sustainable mobility policy.
With this project, Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole continues to promote multi-modality and the use of public transport, active modes and car-sharing throughout the region. The hub joins a network of facilities that make it easier to switch modes of transport, such as the Saint-Estève park-and-ride facility and the Massilia park-and-ride facility in Perpignan.
Following the introduction of the new Sankéo bus network on January 1, 2024 and its Transport Sur Réservation service, the continued implementation of the bicycle plan, the rental of scooters and short and medium-term bicycles, and the adoption of a new master plan for electric charging stations, this interchange is yet another illustration of our commitment to greener, more efficient mobility.
On this occasion, Eurovia, one of the companies responsible for the works, presented all the partners with the Excellence Environnement award.
The event was attended by :
Bruno BERTHET, Secretary General of the Pyrénées-Orientales Prefecture
Robert VILA, President of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole
Jérôme PISSONNIER, VINCI Autoroutes Deputy Operations Director East
Laurent GAUZE, President of the CCI and representative of André BASCOU, Mayor of Rivesaltes
