2001
Six member municipalities of the Perpignan Méditerranée agglomeration community.
2003 - 2010
Progressive change to 26 municipalities. Attachment of the music schools to the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) Perpignan Méditerranée. New competence in terms of social housingthrough the delegation of state subsidies for housing.
2011
Merger with the community of communes of Rivesaltais. Creation of a new community of Agglomeration Perpignan Méditerranée with 36 communes.
2014
First election of community councillors by direct universal suffrage.
2016
Transformation into an urban community, creation of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole on 1 January 2016.
2017
Implementation of new competences in public reading, tourism...
