👉 Resurfacing work helps to stabilize the coastline in areas that are regularly subject to erosion. As part of its responsibility for managing the coastline and combating marine submersion, Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole has undertaken the necessary work.
After two months of work on the shoreline, 15,000 m³ of sand were recovered using a pumping system in front of the harbour entrance channel, then redistributed to 3 sites:
📍 The beach north of the last spur,
📍 Sourribe beach,
📍 The beach on the seafront boulevard.
⛱️ The beaches are now accessible to all.
