The Catalan Winegrowers presented their new product on Thursday, February 9th at the Palais des Congrès in Perpignan: "Les Vignes du Vent".

This new project brings together 6 cooperative wineries, shareholders of the Catalan Winegrowers, who have decided to work together to face a crisis that is shaking the wine industry.

 

The objective: to work together to create a unique range of wines, full of values, co-construction and otherness. This new way of working allows us to pool the juices and talents of each of the 6 wineries in order to offer a unique product, which challenges the usual codes and operating methods.

 

The name "Les Vignes du Vent" was not chosen by chance, it refers to the strong identity of our territory swept by many winds (the Tramontane, the Greco, the Spanish Wind, ...) which is a natural protective element, which makes our vineyards the territory with the lowest rate of treatment in France.

Pascal Provencel accompanied the winemakers for several months with the organization of workshops to work on the genetic program of the 6 wineries but also on the whole identity and creation of the brand.

A free wine, which breaks the codes and which will be in adequacy with a profile of consumers who wish to be free and transgress the established codes!

Of the 6 cooperative wineries that produce this wine, 4 are part of the 36 communes of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole that make up our territory.

This event took place in the presence of R.Vila, president of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, R.Furcy, prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Y.Marcon, secretary general of the prefecture of Perpignan, J.Carmona, regional councillor of Occitanie, M.Martinez and S.Blanc, both deputies of the PO, L.Gauze, president of the CCI of the PO, R.Brassols, president of the CMA66, JM.Marrot, community advisor of PMM, F.Bonet, president of the Vignerons Catalans, F.Bonet, president of the Côtes de l'Agly, F.Capdelleyre, president of the Vignerons de Baixas, T.Feuerstein, president of the Vignerons de Trémoine, P.Mauran, president of the Vignobles Terrassous, R.Ougueres, president of the Terres Plurielles, D.Surjus, president of the Laure Nyls, as well as numerous elected officials.
