Faced with the energy crisis and the sharp increase in energy prices, Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole has chosen to join the scheme set up by the Occitanie Region and is releasing an envelope of €300,000 in exceptional aid for the artisan bakers in its territory. Within the framework of this partnership with the Occitanie Region, Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole wishes to provide assistance to the 150 potentially eligible artisan bakers in its territory, by reinforcing the deployment of the €4 million envelope set up by the Occitanie Region, which complements the State's assistance. This aid was presented at a press conference by Robert Vila, President and Laurent Gauze, Vice President surrounded by Alain Dario, Marc Medina and François Rallo, Vice Presidents. The envelope of 300,000 euros was voted by the community council on February 27, 2023.
How does the assistance work?
Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole is mobilizing an envelope of €300,000 to reinforce the regional intervention. It will be able to finance 30% of the remaining cost of energy bills, after deduction of state and regional aid, with a ceiling of €2,000 per artisan. To be eligible, the additional cost must represent more than 6% of turnover. The Chamber of Trades is the one-stop shop for the submission of the application, which is available on the platform "my aid online". The company can only apply for one "Exceptional device for artisanal bakers" and applications for funding must be submitted before June 30, 2023.
