Tuesday September 24 marked a key moment in Perpignan's Vernet district, with the laying of the foundation stone for an emblematic project: the future media library and Espace Adolescence Jeunesse.
This complex, at the heart of the Diagonale du Vernet, aims to strengthen the cultural and social life of this priority district, by offering a 1,230 m² venue dedicated to learning, leisure and socializing for all publics, especially young people.
The project is financed by the French government, the Occitanie region, the Pyrénées-Orientales department and Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, which is contributing €444,661.15. This modern, accessible facility will meet the needs of local residents and encourage intergenerational exchanges.
Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole is investing heavily in this project, which is part of a drive to revitalize the region and promote culture. The new 1,230 sq. m. space will be a place of proximity and exchange for all generations. See you in 2025!
In attendance: Thierry BONNIER, Préfet des Pyrénées-Orientales, Louis ALIOT, Mayor of Perpignan, Alain DARIO, Vice-Président Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, Mayor of Peyrestortes and representing Robert VILA, President of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, Agnès LANGEVINE, Vice-Présidente Région Occitanie, Françoise FITER, Vice-Présidente du Conseil Départemental des Pyrénées-Orientales.
