Inauguration of Cabestany's city stadium and skate park
On Saturday, October 12, Cabestany celebrated a great field day with the inauguration of two completely renovated areas dedicated to children and young people!
 
🏀⚽ At 10:30 a.m., the city stadium was inaugurated. This multi-sports ground, open daily from 8am to 6pm (and until 9pm in summer), is now home to outdoor soccer, basketball and handball. Following the official ceremony, a family sports tournament was launched with local sports associations 🏆.
 
🛹 At 11:30 a.m., the second highlight of the day took place at the Germanor skate park. Completely rehabilitated, this 450 m² space has become a must for skateboarders! With two practice areas, riders were able to show off their skills in competitions organized by the Ridn'Cabes association. At 9:30 a.m., the freestyle scooter competitions got underway with the -16 and +16 categories. 🛴,
 
followed in the afternoon by skateboard trainings and qualifications, as well as the famous "best trick" contest. 🎯.
 
Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole has contributed to the renovation of these two sports venues, reaffirming its commitment to the development of its 36 communes and to young people. 🏅

Present at the event were Edith Pugnet, Mayor of Cabestany, Bruno Berthet, Secretary General of the Préfecture des PO, Robert Vila, President of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, Rémi Lacapère, Conseiller Départemental, Christophe Manas, Conseiller Régional d'Occitanie, and several members of the Cabestany town council.
