Un piano dans le vent - 06/19

A Unique Musical Project: Piano at the Heart of Harmony Orchestras

In an innovative pedagogical approach, the Conservatoire presents an original musical project in which the piano, under the fingers of young students, is invited to join the Cycle 1 wind bands conducted by Boris Teixidor. The works, specially composed by David Pigassou, promise an enriching and collaborative musical experience.

This project was born of a clear desire to promote group practice from the earliest stages of musical training. Traditionally, young pianists spend many hours in individual lessons, isolated from other instrumentalists. This initiative aims to bring them out of this pedagogical solitude, so that they can discover the dynamics and richness of ensemble playing. The aim is simple but ambitious: to enable students to experience music collectively, by meeting and playing with their fellow musicians.

The culmination of this project will be a series of mini-concerti, where each young pianist will have the opportunity to perform with the wind band. These performances will not only be an opportunity to put their technical skills into practice, but also to develop their listening skills, their sense of rhythm, and their ability to integrate harmoniously into a group.

Music lovers and students' families are invited to attend these moments of musical sharing. Reservations are recommended and can be made directly on the conservatory website. This will be a great opportunity to discover the talent of young musicians and support their progress in a collective setting.

Join us to celebrate the effort and passion of these young artists, and to enjoy the fruits of this unique collaboration between piano and wind band. A musical experience not to be missed!
