Tripartite fishing agreement signed at Bouzigues lake
On Tuesday September 3, Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, the Commune de Saint-Féliu d'Avall and the Fédération des Pyrénées Orientales pour la Pêche et la Protection du Milieu Aquatique signed a new tripartite agreement for the management of the Bouzigues lake.
This 42-hectare natural site, once a sand quarry, is now an area rich in biodiversity, carefully managed to preserve its ecological potential.
Under this 6-year agreement, PMM undertakes to :
Protecting fish stocks and aquatic environments
Maintain riverbanks and infrastructure to ensure hydraulic balance
Set up the necessary signage and information for anglers in collaboration with the Federation
The aim of this partnership is to reconcile environmental preservation and leisure activities around the pond, for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors alike.
The event was attended by Roger Garrido, Mayor of Saint-Féliu d'Avall, Jean-Louis Chambon, Conseiller Communautaire Délégué of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, and Sébastien Delmas, President of the Pyrénées-Orientales Fishing Federation.
