📌 The inauguration of the Col de la Sabine trail took place in Opoul-Périllos on Saturday October 28. The trail is an 8.700 km stony loop with an ascent of 290 m.

🏔️🎒 This hike offers an incredible view of our territory, sea, pond, canigo... The trail goes as far as the Château de Salveterre, and historically enabled the inhabitants of Périllos to reach Opoul and vice versa.

🌲🥾 Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole is keen to develop walking activities by offering hiking trails throughout the region. The aim of this territorial network is to protect natural spaces and biodiversity, while creating links between town and country by developing a green and sustainable tourism economy.

🙌 This loop is the first to be entirely initiated by PMM, and has been awarded the label of the Fédération Française de Randonnées Pédestre.

👉 Present were P.Sarda, mayor of Opoul-Périllos, R.Vila, president of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, J.Sol, Senator of the PO, T.Martinez, mayor of Cases-de-Pène and vice-president of PMM, P.Camps, mayor of Vingrau, members of the Opoul-Périllos town council and numerous hikers.
