The waste disposal center of the City of Perpignan welcomes an average of 300 users per day. It is one of the only ones to be open on Sundays during the day. It receives almost all types of waste, rubble, bulky, oil, green waste, ... .It was necessary to expand this site in order to :
To fluidify the flow of vehicles that were becoming more and more numerous- Encourage good sorting reflexes
- To have the capacity to receive more material, because the Perpignan waste collection center is about 11 tons of waste per month, that is to say 15% of the total figure treated on all the waste collection centers of the territory of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole.
But these works also aim to improve the safety and working conditions of the personnel on site, with the enlargement of the roadways, the creation of pedestrian walkways, new waste disposal areas as well as the creation of a sorting area for the municipal services.
It is an investment of 500 000 euros TTC that is realized on this project whose works began in October and will finish for the beginning of year 2023.R.
