On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the commune of Llupia celebrated the opening of a magnificent 1,500 m² urban park in the presence of numerous personalities, including Roger Rigall, Mayor of Llupia and PMM community councillor; Robert Vila, President of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole ; Alain Dario, Mayor of Peyrestortes and Vice-Chairman of PMM; Franck Dadies, Mayor of Ponteilla and PMM Community Councillor; Bruno Berthet, Secretary General of the Pyrénées-Orientales Prefecture, and numerous members of the Llupia municipal council.

 

This multi-purpose area includes :

 

- A play area for children aged 3 to 10

- A fitness trail for the more active

- A picnic area for getting together with family and friends

 

Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole has invested €35,306.15 to support this project, which reflects its commitment to beautifying and energizing the 36 communes in the Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole territory.

 

This new park embodies the values of good living together and encourages conviviality between all generations.
