Tuesday 21 June, Economic Development Agency Pyrénées Méditerranée Invest (ADE) has inaugurated the establishment of Amazon on the Espace Entreprise Méditerranée in Rivesaltes.
In operation since 5 May 2022, Amazon's 23rd local delivery agency in France serves the inhabitants of the Pyrénées-Orientales over a 70 km radius around Rivesaltes. The ADE's prospecting work has enabled it to position Perpignan against many competing territories.
This was another successful event, which is in line with one of the major objectives of carrying out targeted prospecting to renew the local economic fabric, create jobs and position our territory in the face of competition.
Amazon is located on a plot of land belonging to Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole with a surface area of 5,700 m². The site is composed of 30% green spaces limiting the visual impact on the public space. On the site's car parks, charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed.
This new site, built by local companies, contributes to the development of local employment.
