Tuesday, July 26, the new motorhome area of Cases de Pène was inaugurated in the presence of Yohann Marcon, Secretary General of the Prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Hermeline Malherbe, President of the Conseil Départemental des Pyrénées-Orientales, Théophile Martinez mayor of Cases de Pène and vice-president of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, Alain Dario, vice-president of Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole, Pierre Estève, president of the association "Pays de la Vallée de l'Agly" and Laurence Cavaille, head of development for the Grand Sud of the CAMPING-CAR PARK network.
As part of the CAMPING-CAR PARK network, it completes the department's offer by proposing the tenth area of the network to nomad travelers. For a few euros a night, it provides a quiet and secure place, open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, accessible by reservation or directly on site with the PASS'ETAPES card. Equipped with electrical outlets, a service station and garbage and recycling containers, the area can accommodate up to 21 vehicles. It will allow travelers to stop in this valley rich in activities, a few kilometers from the Ecozonia park.
CAMPING-CAR PARK has 555,000 customers, 40% of whom are foreigners, more than 400 sites in France and 4.5 million euros paid to local authorities (in 2021).
